Concept

Ikebukuro

— Paitan and mala in one two-broth pot — Ginjo Lamb® shabu, with wagyu and vegan courses too. Three minutes from Ikebukuro Station on the Marunouchi Line, with 30 seats.

AREA

Shabu-shabu in Ikebukuro

For shabu-shabu in Ikebukuro (池袋), head to the west side of the station and Romance-dori. Lamb Shabu KINNOME Ikebukuro is on the 5th floor of the Natori building at 1-40-5 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku — a 3-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and 4 minutes from JR Ikebukuro Station. The east-side entertainment district is within walking distance, but one street back from the station crowds it is a small, settled room of 30 seats. There is no lunch service: we open at 5:00 PM on weekdays and at 4:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, which suits a drink after work or dinner after shopping or a film. Ginjo Lamb® Shabu in a two-broth pot is the signature, and there are courses with all-you-can-eat lamb and vegetables — good for a small gathering or a quiet celebration.

  • A full view of the course centered on a gold twin-broth pot, with thinly sliced lamb on a white platter alongside mushrooms, vegetables and condiments
  • Egg noodles to finish being scooped from the pot; a platter of thinly sliced lamb and bowls of condiments sit behind

FEATURE

What sets Ikebukuro apart

A small restaurant with 30 seats. Four courses are available: Ginjo Lamb® Shabu, mala broth, medicinal-herb mushroom, and A5 wagyu premium — each as a Set Plan or All-You-Can-Eat, with free-flow drinks as an add-on. Ikebukuro also offers wagyu sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, plus a certified vegan soy-meat course. No lunch service; open from 17:00 on weekdays and 16:00 at weekends and on holidays.

  • A platter of rare mushrooms: Tamogitake, Hanabiratake and others laid out in a black wooden box with variety-name tags

SCENE

Occasions at Ikebukuro

Small gatherings
With 30 seats, the room is sized for a party of a few rather than a crowd — an easy distance across the pot. Choose a course with all-you-can-eat lamb and vegetables. Three minutes from Ikebukuro Station on the Marunouchi Line.
Dinner for two
Doors open at 5:00 PM on weekdays and 4:00 PM at weekends, which fits neatly after shopping or a film. Share the two-broth pot — clear paitan and spicy malatang — and choose between a light single-serving set or a full all-you-can-eat course.
After work
Four minutes from JR Ikebukuro Station and three from the Marunouchi Line. We serve until 11:15 PM, with last order 30 minutes before closing, so a late start still works: a single-serving Ginjo Lamb® Shabu set and a drink is enough.
Wagyu and vegan courses
Alongside the four lamb shabu courses, you can choose Hokkaido Kuroge wagyu sukiyaki or shabu-shabu, and a certified vegan soy-meat course. Animal-derived ingredients are prepared in the same kitchen, so please ask us if you have food allergies. See the menu page for prices and details.

  • A tabletop against black: thinly sliced lamb filling a gold-rimmed lacquer box with a wooden tag on top, backed by salad, egg noodles, three dipping sauces and three condiments
  • A course spread on a grey stone table: a gold twin-broth pot, stir-fried lamb in a black clay pot, salad in a glass bowl, six condiments and a lamb platter on slate
  • Overhead view of a tabletop on black: a twin-broth pot of mala and paitan, slate lined with rolled lamb, salad, egg noodles, raw egg and condiments
  • A full view of the course: marbled meat fanned out on black slate, arranged with mushrooms, vegetables, condiments and beaten egg
